Yevonne E. Scott , 54, of Rock Island, passed away Saturday June 26, 2021 at UnityPoint-Trinity, Rock Island.

Services will be 12:00 p.m. (noon) Thursday July 8, 2021 at Pentecostal Church of God, 1234 Ripley Street, Davenport, IA, with visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be at Pine Hill Cemetery, Davenport. Arrangements are entrusted to Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island.

Yevonne was born April 23, 1967 in Rock Island, Illinois, a daughter of Jimmy Carr and Barbara Phillips. She graduated from Rock Island High School, Class of 1986. She married James "Geno" Scott on February 8, 2008 in Rock Island.

Yevonne worked for the Rock Island/Milan School District for many years. She was a member of Pentecostal Church of God, Davenport.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, Geno; children, Laron Carr and Jeweleuana Sands; mother, Barbara Luten; father, Jimmy Carr; sister, Lori (Ricky) Taylor; brothers, Jason (Vernice) Phillips and Cle (Libra) Phillips; and a host of nieces, nephews; brother-in-law, Herman Scott; former husband, Paul Sands; and additional family.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence J. Luten; one sister, Lesa Harlston; and one brother, Ketchum Lavelle.
