Yvonne R. Martin, 91, of Lewisburg, PA, formerly of Rock Island, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village, Lewisburg.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 28th, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rock Island. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Rock Island. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, October 27th, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 - 7th Ave., Rock Island,  where a Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rock Island.
Yvonne was born February 18, 1925 in Rock Island, the daughter of Frederick E. Schebler and Gladys M. Hansen Schebler. She graduated from the Villa de Chantel, Rock Island, and attended Augustana College, Rock Island, for two years.
Yvonne and Harold L. Martin were united in marriage on October 10, 1947 in Rock Island. He preceded her in death on  April 26, 1983.
Yvonne was employed at Iowa-Illinois Gas and Electric and later with the former Ametek Corp., East Moline.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rock Island. She enjoyed playing bridge and fishing anywhere.
Surviving are her daughter Cathy Martin Baiardi, Red Hook, NY; son and daughter-in-law, Frederick and Kathleen Martin, Lewisburg, PA; four grandchildren, Juliana Baiardi Zengen, Stanfordville, NY; Erin Berman, Gaithersburg, MD; Matthew Martin and Rachel Martin, Lewisburg, PA; five great-grandchildren,  Owen, Audrey and Caroline Zengen; Leah and Brendan Berman. Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son-in-law, Dr. John Baiardi.
