Carl E. Compton Jr., 60, of Milan, passed away Sunday, February 20, 2022, at UnityPoint Health-Trinity, Rock Island. Cremation rites have been accorded and a private memorial service will be held at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan.

Carl was born on October 29, 1961, in Moline, a son of Carl E. Compton Sr. and Betty Jane Franklin. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Carl enjoyed driving trucks, being outdoors doing yardwork, and spending time at Sunset Marina.

Those left to cherish Carl's memory include his fiancée, Christine Tijerina; nephew, Tomas Feher; brother-in-law, Frank Feher; cat, Bella; and a handful of special friends.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Carla Jane Feher.
