Carl A. Stratton of Colona, Illinois, formerly of Aledo, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2022, at Genesis Clarissa C. Cook Hospice Center in Bettendorf, Iowa, after a brief illness.

Carl was born in Aledo, Illinois, on February 9, 1949 to Willis (Cecil) and Dorothy Stratton. He graduated from Aledo High School in 1967, and Black Hawk College in 1991 with an AAS in Computer Science. He was a TV and appliance repairman for Cooper's TV for many years before founding Stratton's TV & Appliance Repair in Aledo. Later, he was a service technician for GroupO Packaging Solutions in Milan.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, his dog, traveling, working at his computer, creating stained glass items, and tinkering with and repairing many different things. His family will miss his gentle nature and great sense of humor.

Carl is survived by his wife of 51 years, Brenda (Stegall) Stratton; daughters Tammy (Steve) Connor of Virginia, and Elizabeth (Tim) Hull of Moline; sons Christopher (Laura) Stratton of Viola, and Scott (Denise) Stratton of Colona; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; his siblings, Elizabeth (Kenny) Johnson of Kansas and their children, and David Stratton of Milan. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation services have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held at the VFW in Aledo on Friday, October 7th from 1-3pm.
