Cheryl Senatra Obituary

Cheryl Senatra, 74, of Milan, passed away peacefully Saturday May 6, 2023 at home, surrounded by her family.

Funeral services will be 10:00am, Thursday at Milan First Presbyterian Church. The family will greet friends from 4:00-7:00pm Wednesday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan.  Inurnment will follow in Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be left to American Cancer Society.

Cheryl was born on January 28, 1949 in Moline, the daughter of Lyle and Beverly (Mourning) McCann. She was a graduate of Moline High School in 1967. She married Vincent Senatra Jr. on August 8, 1969 in Moline.

Mrs Senatra dutifully served 30 years at the Rock Island Arsenal first as a secretary and later as a plan analyst, retiring in March 2006.

Cheryl loved being with her family and friends, wintering in Florida and reading. Cheryl was a selfless wife, mother, grandmother and was the glue that held the family together.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Vincent; son, Jay Alan (Cate) Senatra, Muscatine; daughter, Laurie Christine (Corey) Lyon, Rock Island; step daughter, Susan Senatra; grandchildren, Evan Lyon, Grace and Emily Senatra, Josh Clement and Brianna Hicks; brother, Kenneth (Barb) McCann, Maricopa, Arizona.

The family is grateful for the care Cheryl received from the Florida Cancer Center in Cape Coral and Unity Point Hospital, Rock Island.
