Christina K. (Anderson) Barrows

                Christina K. Barrows, 67, of Milan, passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at her residence.

                Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, August 8, 2022, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Milan, with gathering to follow.  Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Sunday, August 7, 2022, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Milan.  Burial will be at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Taylor Ridge.  Memorials may be made to the family to be designated to a Christian Education School.

                Christina was born on March 10, 1955 in Rock Island, the daughter of Lyle and Nancy (Hickerson) Anderson.  She married James “Jim” Barrows on August 15, 1987 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church.  Christina worked for the Anderson Mandle Grain Company for many years in the book keeping department.  Christina most recently helped her brother with tax preparation.  She also worked at Genesis Health Systems in their patient financial services department, and worked at Wells Fargo, Davenport, in reconciling.  Christina was a lifelong Christian, and an active member at St. Matthew Lutheran Church.  She was an avid supporter of Christian Education.  She and her husband, Jim, loved traveling, especially to England.  Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews. 

                Christina is survived by her husband, Jim Barrows; son, Alexander Barrows; father, Lyle Anderson; brothers, Steven (Sara) Anderson, Matt (Kathleen) Anderson, David (Suzanne) Anderson, and Paul (Darci) Anderson; and many special nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Anderson.
