Christopher Patterson Obituary

Christopher James Patterson, passed away Saturday, February 19, 2022 at CentraState Hospital in Freehold, New Jersey.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at the Edgington Cemetery.  Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory and Clayton-McGirr Funeral Home are assisting with arrangements.

Christopher was born on November 10, 1983 at the Submarine Base Naval Medical Center in Groton, Connecticut to Jerry Patterson and Catherine Hojnacki Patterson.

Christopher had lived at Alliare Rehab and Nursing for the last nineteen years.  There he was loved by so many of his peers and care givers over the years.  Despite his cerebral palsy restricting his ability to walk or talk he was a very animated guy.  His big and happy smile was a joy to all who met him.  He enjoyed watching his NY Giants play football on television and would get visibly upset when a commercial came on.  His brother Shaun who worked as an EMT would often make arrangements to bring him home to Grandma’s house in his ambulance so they could watch the games together.  Go Giants!

He is survived by his father Jerry; brother, Shaun; and many family members in both Illinois and New Jersey.  His loving mother, Catherine, preceded him in death.

Memorials may be made to the Cerebral Palsy Alliance or to the Youth Ministry of your choice.
