Sherrard - Dennis "Grady" Stotlar, an avid NASCAR fan, rounded his last lap and crossed the fin ish line at 71 years old on Dec. 19, 2017. With is wife, Holly, his son, Jason and their close family members by his side, he took the checkered flag. News of his demise was held back through the holidays per his wishes. Grady believed that life should not be a journey to the grave with the in tention of arriv ing safely in a handsome, well pre served body, but rather to skid in broad side, a beer in one hand and a cigarette in the other, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming Woo Hoo! What a Ride!''* A special thanks to his "pit crew," the doc tors and nurses in the ICU at Unity Point Hos pital in Bettendorf, who worked tire lessly to keep him comfortable and pain free. They were truly the angels among us. His last wish was for all his friends and family to cele brate a life well lived with an epic party. We hope everyone will join us then. *H. Thompson
