Eddie Fowler Sr., 72, of Milan, passed away Sunday August 18, 2024 at his home.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Monday August 26, 2024 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home & Crematory, Rock Island. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 – 5:00 PM at the funeral home.

Eddie was born on March 17, 1952 in Davenport, Iowa, the son of John H. and Laveda F. (Hunt) Fowler.

Mr Fowler Graduated from Rock Island High School class of 1971 and attended Black Hawk College.

Mr. Fowler had been employed at the Rock Island Arsenal as a welder and later with the Corp of Engineers for 30 years before his retirement. He had also worked at John Deere Harvester for some time before working at the Rock Island Arsenal.

Mr. Fowler was an active member of the Wildcat Bowling Guild and the Thursday night Rock Island Arsenal mix.

Mr. Fowler loved spending time with his family, grandchildren and friends, home improvement projects around his home, traveling with his bowling mates, and helping out as a DJ. Mr Fowler will be tremendously missed by everyone who knew him.

Survivors include his Brother, James Fowler Sr., St. Louis, Missouri, children and spouses, Lynette (Sean) Eftekhari, Rolling Meadows, Illinois, Eddie Fowler Jr., Coyne Center, Shayla (Chadron) Ferguson, Macomb, Illinois; grandchildren, ShayVon, TraVon, Veil, Darionna, and Lilli; and special friend, Collette Roberts, Milan. And a host of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Fowler was preceded in death by his parents, John and Laveda; brothers, John Henry and Andrew Fowler Sr.; sisters, Alma Jean, Helen, Gwendolyn, Jeanette Fowler and Sandra Polite. Nephew, Michael Counts, and niece Angela Fowler.
