He was a mail carrier in Rock Island, for many years, retiring on disability due to the loss of his eyesight. For many years, Ed and Eileen enjoyed their weekends together at their cottage on the Mississippi River and spent their winters in Florida. Ed was an avid Chicago Cubs fan, he also enjoyed listening to baseball and football games, as well as audio books.
Left to cherish his memory are his sister, Dorothy Coulson and many loving nieces and nephews.
