Elizabeth Carlson Obituary

 

Elizabeth A. Carlson, 61, of Moline, passed away on Monday, February 25, 2019 at her home. A Celebration of Life Visitation will be Sunday, March 17, 2019 from 1 pm to 4 pm at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island.

Elizabeth was born on February 5, 1958 in Rock Island.  She was proceeded in death by her parents, Robert and Gloria (Cruse) Carlson and her long time boyfriend James Schatteman. Elizabeth worked as a Logistics Management Specialist at the Rock Island Arsenal. She retired from the Arsenal in 2011 with over 30 years of service. Elizabeth was a member of Mississippi Valley Blues Society. She was a kind-hearted, wonderful, overly generous woman .  She loved antiquing, shopping, children...faithfully donating to Toys for Tots,  playing cards... especially with family on Sundays,  talking politics, and had a real passion for Blues music.

Survivors include her sister, Andrea (John) Bain, Wayland, IA.; a brother, Chris Carlson, Rock Island; nieces and nephews, Sean Bain, Christie (Brian) Firth and Hope Matchie, other special family members, Mark (Cathy) Wilson, Steve Wilson, Tim (Lori) Wilson, Tony and True Dee Sorgen, Eric (Courtney) Wilson, Ethan (Kristy) Wilson and Stephanie (Chad) Trivette and Emiley (Matt) Luckey and her long time best friend, Jackie (Darron) Niles. As well as many other special friends and family.
