Gary W. Jackson

Gary W. Jackson, 69, of Moline, passed away Sunday, February 14, 2021 at UnityPoint Health-Trinity, Rock Island. There will be no public services. Inurnment will be in Moline Memorial Park Cemetery. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers or memorials, cards may be sent to Gary’s family.

Gary was born on July 19, 1951 in Rock Island, a son of Robert and Shirley (DeVrieze) Jackson. He married Janet E. Kirk on March 26, 1988 in Wooster, Ohio. She preceded him in death on April 16, 2018. Gary worked as a pool designer at Sentry Pool in Moline. He enjoyed building racecars in his early years and liked to race slot cars.

Those left to cherish Gary’s memory include his children, Amy (Joel) Holmes, Houston, Texas, Wayne (Cindy) Newbury, Massillon, Ohio, Jessica Newbury, Reynoldsburg, Ohio, and Kenneth (Tara) Newbury, Moline; 13 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.
