Geneva M. (Gunter) Crowe

Geneva M. Crowe, 92, of Rock Island, passed away Tuesday May 25, 2021 at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline.

Services will be 3:00pm Friday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Visitation will be from 2:00pm to service time. A service will be held in Alabama at Free Will Baptist Church on Tuesday June 1, 2021 at 11:00am. Burial will be in Mount Hebron, Crews, AL. Memorials may be left to her churches.

Geneva was born on May 12, 1929 in Alabama the daughter of Samuel and Rosie (Meyer) Gunter. She married Ural E. Crowe on May 1, 1948 in Mississippi.

She had been employed at Wonder Bread, Davenport for 15 years and had previously been a nurses aid.

Mrs. Crowe was an active member of Grace Baptist Church, Moline and had earlier attended Free Will Baptist Church, Alabama.

She enjoyed spending time with family, her pets, gardening and was a avid University of Alabama fan.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Brenda (Tom) Luebbe, Andalusia, Faye (Bill) Baker, Moline, Kathy Crowe, Moline, Barbara (Terry) Anderson, Coal Valley, Roger (Tami) Crowe, Alma, AR., Wade Crowe, Springfield, Vanessa (Dennis) Marcum, Athens, OH.; 18 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Rosie; husband Ural; granddaughter, Krista; great granddaughter, Tessa and great grandson, Kyle.
