H. Wade Abbott, 79, of Milan, died Thursday, December 9, 2021 at UnityPoint Health – Trinity, Rock Island.  Per Wade's wishes, there will be no services.  Inurnment will be private at Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island.  Memorials may be made in care of the QC Animal Welfare Center, Milan.

Wade was born in Rock Island, Illinois on June 18, 1942, a son of Hershel Wade and Della M. Turner Abbott.  He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Wade spent a lifetime as an iron worker and retired from the Iron Workers Local 111, Rock Island.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Donna Rios, Rock Island, Tab W. (Theresa Cunningham) Abbott, Spring City, Tenn., Chad (Angie) Abbott, Fulton, Ill., Lacy (Donnie) Abbott Riley, Hannibal, Mo. and Rainy (Shawn) Abbott Moore, Hannibal, Mo.; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Michael Abbott.
