Helena Fowler Obituary

Helena C. Fowler, 82, of Rock Island, passed away Thursday February 6, 2020 at Generations, Rock Island.

Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 15, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island, with visiation from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday prior to services.

Helena was born May 4, 1937 in Rock Island, a daughter of Moes Andrew Gardner and Flora Grace Clay.She married John H. Fowler on September 6, 1985. He preceded her in death on May 24, 1995.

Some of her favorite times were those spent with family and friends, whom will all miss her greatly. She enjoyed going to the “boat”.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Phillip and Sandra Allen, Rock Island; grandchildren, Marlon McGee, Wesley (Amanda) McGee, Anthony McGee, Nicholas McGee, Courtney Martin, Tremonte Wright, Roy Butler, Mark Kendall Jr., Eligha Scott, Ceciela Allen, Heather Martin, Chris Martin, Elizabeth Martin and Lovell (Heavenly) White; 48 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren; cousin, Charlotte McCardell, Rock Island; and a host of additional family and friends; and special friends, Ida Braggs Ransom, Rock Island and May Campbell, Rock Island.

 She was preceded in death by her father, mother, stepfather, Wesley Allen, and great grandson, Adagio McGee.
