Jean G. Estell=Kemble

Jean G. Estell-Kemble, 76, of Andalusia, passed away Tuesday January 29, 2019 at UPH Trinity, Rock Island.

In accordance with her wishes, no services are planned at this time. Memorials may be made to the Jean G. Kemble Memorial at the Gas & Electric Credit Union (GECU), 2300 4th Ave., Rock Island, IL 61201.

She was born on May 9, 1942, the daughter of Edward and Heddy (Lucas) Cannon. She married Isaac Estell Jr in 1960. He preceded her in death on November 10, 1985. She later married Thomas Kemble in 1987 and he preceded her on November 22, 2018.

Jean was a graduate of Alleman High School, Rock island. She had been employed earlier as a crossing guard and most recently by the City of Rock Island and Rock Island Police Department as a meter maid.

Jean will be fondly remembered as a wonderful mother and grandmother. She loved to spend time with family, and being at family gatherings. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, coin collecting, bingo, and going to Jumer’s.

 Survivors include her children, Wanda (Timothy) Schmacht, Rock Island, James Estell, Moline, Jessica (Douglas) Huston, Winder, GA., Michael (Peggy) Estell, Muscatine, Carol (Rusty) Brown, Andalusia; step children, Heather (Josh) Lewis, Milan, Vicki (Scott) Bowers, Rock Island, Patrick (Zena) Kemble, Clinton; 12 grandchildren; 13 exchange student grandchildren; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Hedda; husbands, Isaac Estell and Thomas Kemble; sons, Keith Estell and John Estell; brother, Thomas Edward Cannon.
