Jon A. Anthony, 56, of Reynolds, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, September 11, 2025, at UPH-Trinity, Rock Island.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Reynolds United Methodist Church, Reynolds. Visitation will be from 9:00 am until service time at the church.  A private burial will be held in Reynolds Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Melanoma Skin Cancer Symptoms and Treatment- Melanoma Research Alliance (MRA) https://www.curemelanoma.org/ or Reynolds Methodist Church. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family with services.

Jon was born on July 21st, 1969, in Des Moines IA, the son of Alan and Marcia Anthony. Jon married his best friend and love of his life, Shelley, on September 29th, 2007. Together they have built an amazing life, filled with fun times and beautiful memories. Jon graduated from Davenport North High School then immediately enlisted in the U.S Army National Guard then transferred to active duty U.S Army and was honorably discharged, serving for 10 years ending his military career as a specialist. Jon then pursued a career in the trucking industry, his current occupation was a highway maintainer employed with Milan IDOT. Jon was a remarkable man, deeply devoted to his family. He was always a shoulder to lean on, dependable and the "rock" for all. Through the years Jon enjoyed working with his hands, working on trucks and cars, motorcycling, traveling and had a passion for golfing and country dancing with his wife. Jon will be deeply missed.

Jon is survived by his wife, Shelley Anthony; Daughters, Autumn (Shaun Miggins) Anthony and Hailee Anthony; Granddaughter, Bailey; Mother, Marcia (Ben) Stuart; Brothers, Michael Anthony and Phil (Heather) Anthony; nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.  He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
