Kenneth D. Rittenhouse, 80, of Rock Island, died Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Heartland Healthcare Center, Moline.  Per his wishes, cremation rites were accorded.  There will be no services.  Memorials may be made in care of the family.

Kenneth was born in Augusta, Illinois on August 14, 1937, a son of Herschel and Virginia Lambert Rittenhouse.  He married Elsie Myrlene Huston on September 7, 1961 in Carthage, Illinois.

Kenneth worked 30 plus years at Case IH.

He was a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Bears fan.  He enjoyed golfing, bowling and fishing in his early years.  He also enjoyed tinkering in the garage and was an avid one-armed bandit (slot machines).

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Elsie Rittenhouse, Rock Island; children, Tami (Mike) Dreifurst, Port Byron, Mark (Dunia Afshar) Rittenhouse, Texas, Kendra Wheatley, Moline and Lori Rittenhouse, Rock Island; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and brothers, Dave Rittenhouse, Milan and Wade Rittenhouse, Macomb, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Marge Hillyer and brother, Donald Rittenhouse.
