Louie K. Fisher, 77, of Port Charlotte, FL., formerly of Milan, passed away peacefully Saturday December 26, 2020 at home.
A service celebrating Louie’s life is set for 11:00AM Friday July 30, 2021 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Visitation will be from 10:00AM to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery, with Military Honors by Milan American Legion Post 569. Memorials may be left to American Legion Riders Post 569.
Louie was born on December 23, 1943 in Rock Island, the son of Kenneth and Myrtle Fisher. He married Peggy Vincent in 1967 and she preceded him in 1986. He later married Linda Warner.
Mr. Fisher retired from JI Case after 30 years as a machinist. He also was the owner of Lou’s Lawn Care of Milan. Louie loved working around the house, being outside working in his flower garden and with his fruit tree. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, taking many trips to Canada and Southwest Iowa with tales of how the big one got away. But most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and beloved golden retriever Chloe.
Mr. Fisher was a United States Army Veteran and Past Commander of the Milan American Legion Post 569.
Survivors include his children, Tammy (Jerry) Hudspeth, Milan, Jeff (Christiane) Fisher, Switzerland; grandchildren, Jerry (Lauren) Hudspeth III, Jonathan Hudspeth, Natalie Fisher, Darren Fisher, Bryan Fisher and brother, Michael (Lisa) Fisher, Orion, IL; great grandchildren violet Hudspeth and Donatello and Raphael Fisher.
He was preceded in death his first wife, Peggy; parents, Kenneth and Myrtle; and sister, Joyce.
