Mary Ann Neece, 90, of Milan, IL, formally of Andalusia, IL, passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at Avonlea Cottage, Milan.

Visitation will be held from 1pm to 4pm on Sunday, December 10, 2023, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan, IL. Funeral services will be held at 10am on Monday, December 11, 2023, at Zion Lutheran Church, 18121 134th Ave W, Taylor Ridge, IL 61284. Burial will be in Andalusia Cemetery Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church.

Mary Ann was born October 17, 1933, in Nokomis, IL, the daughter of Robert and Agnes (Taylor) Haggerty. She married Gerald Neece Sr. on October 9, 1953, in Nokomis, IL. Mary Ann worked for Illinois Bell Telephone from 1956 to 1960. She was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church in Taylor Ridge where she was part of the Dorcas Society. She served on the Andalusia Township board; participated in the Rock Ridge Booster Club; played with the Andalusia Acorns Softball team; and took part in the Rock Island Co. Home Extension. She enjoyed crafts, crossword puzzles, planting flowers, the Saint Louis Cardinals, and most of all being with her family.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Gerald (Janet) Neece Jr., East Moline, Frederick (Carol) Neece, Moline, Donnie (Brandee) Neece, Andalusia, Phillip (Shonna) Neece, Muscatine, IA, Michael (Aimee) Neece, Andalusia; 16 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 5 sisters, and 2 brothers.
