Myrna L Bond

Myrna L. Bond, 87, of Milan, passed away Sunday, June 5, 2022 at UnityPoint Health Trinity, Rock Island. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, June 10, 2022 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 201 E. 4th Ave., Milan. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the Moline Public Library.

Myrna was born on April 6, 1935 in New Sharon, IA, the daughter of Orville and Bertha (Fayer) Allen. She married Bobby Bond on June 12, 1954 in Killduff, IA and he preceded her in death on May 29, 2018.  

Myrna was a homemaker for many years, enjoying her time at home raising and caring for her three children. She was an amazing wife and supported Bobby in everything he did. Later in life, she cherished the time she had with her grandkids and enjoyed keeping up with their activities. Her hobbies included sewing, crocheting, and gardening.

Myrna is survived by her children, Patricia (Kenneth) Wales, Coal Valley, Douglas (Susan) Bond, Rock Island, and Dennis (Debbie) Bond, Viola; grandchildren, Jennifer Barnes, Kristopher Wales (Lindsay Swartz), Drake (Morgan) Bond, Donovan Bond, and Jesse Bond; and great grandchildren, Chloe and Garrett Barnes, Fallon and Addelyn Bond.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby; parents; and siblings, Ronald and Arlen Allen, Wilma Ervin, and two brothers in infancy.
