Nancy Ann (Gillman) Boyle

Nancy Ann Boyle, 69, of Davenport, Iowa, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.

Cremation rites have been accorded at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory in Rock Island, Illinois. There will be no public services. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Nancy’s memory.

Nancy was born February 26, 1955, to Bernard and Carol (Cusack) Gillman in Moline, Illinois. She was united in marriage with Robby Boyle on September 26, 1981. He preceded her in death on February 4, 2021.

Nancy graduated from Alleman High School in 1973 and Western Illinois University in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science in Law Enforcement Administration. Nancy was a probation officer for the 7th Judicial District of Iowa, Department of Corrections in Davenport for 38 years, retiring in 2015.

Nancy enjoyed boating on the Mississippi River and playing poker with her girlfriends. Above all, Nancy loved spending time with her family.

Those left to cherish Nancy’s memory include her brother, Dr. Joseph (Susan) Gillman, Rock Island, Illinois; sisters, Kathleen (Mark) Biscontine, Bradenton, Florida, and Maureen (Ali) El-Abd, Carrollton, Texas; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, all of whom she adored.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
