Norma J. Earel

Norma J. Earel, 88, of Rock Island, passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at UnityPoint Health-Trinity, Bettendorf. Services for Mrs. Earel will be 10:30 am, Tuesday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island, where the services will be live-streamed at www.wheelanpressly.com/live-stream-RockIsland. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to Quad Cities Animal Welfare Center, Milan.

All visitors will be required to wear a facemask and maintain social distancing.

Norma was born on September 25, 1932 in Quincy, IL.,  a daughter of Paul and Mildred (Willer) Schullian. She married Kenneth Earel on December 28, 1950 in Quincy. Norma was a homemaker and she had previously worked at McCabe’s Department Store, Rock Island. Norma was a Brownie, Girl Scout, Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth; children and spouse, Wanda and Glenn Shackelford, Moline, James and Vicky Earel, Moline, Richard and Karen Earel, Kansas City, MO., and Janice and Steve Hinton, Moline; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; siblings and spouses,  Paul and Mary Schullian, Waconia, MN., John and Joyce Schullian, Vernon Hills, IL., David Schullian, Quincy, and Irene Arnold, Quincy.
