Patricia Ann (Miller) Shields

Patricia Ann Shields, 86, of Milan, passed away Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Friendship Manor, Rock Island.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 12, 2022, at First Presbyterian Church, Milan. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Inurnment will be at Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, Milan.

Patricia was born on August 12, 1935 in Rock Island, the daughter of John and Nellie (Davis) Miller. She married Orville Allen Shields on March 27, 1953 in Illinois. Patricia retired from Eagles after 29 years in their accounting department. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Milan. Patricia enjoyed drawing, painting, crocheting, and traveling with her husband.

Patricia is survived by her son, Orville (Roberta) Shields, East Moline; grandchildren, Kelly (Andy) Fratzke, Kari Weber, Kim (Craig) Watkins, Eric (Meredith) DeSmet, Heather (Shaun) Sneath, Tyler Boyd, April (Andrew) Cook, and Lauren Shields; 20 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson with one on the way; sister, Janet Manary; brother, Waldo Miller; and special friends, Diane Miller, Kathy Paulsen, and Ellen Derrer. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, Michael Shields; daughter, Robin Boyd; brother, John Miller Jr.; and sisters, Mary Sims and Barbara Mowell.
