Patricia "Patty" J. Eckert, 67, of Rock Island, died Thursday, August 15, 2024 at home surrounded by family.  Cremation rites were accorded.  There will be a private graveside service at Calvary Cemetery, Rock Island.  Memorials may be made in care of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rock Island.  Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island, is assisting the family.

Patty was born in Davenport, Iowa on January 15, 1957, a daughter of George and Jean Leahy Wolters.  She earned her master's degree from Western Illinois University.

Patty married Brion G. Eckert on May 7, 2005 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rock Island.  Patty is also a member of Sacred Heart and served as a member of Sodality.

Patty really enjoyed crafting.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Brion Eckert, Rock Island; and siblings, Bill (Phyllis) Wolters, Northglenn, CO, Mary Castro, Davenport, IA, Terri (Terry) Englehaupt, Colona, IL and Bob (Gail) Wolters, Phoenix, AZ.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Tim Wolters.
