Randy P. Eckert

                Randy P. Eckert, 71, of Milan, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at his residence. 

                A private family Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Rock Island.  Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Rock Island.  Memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Rock Island or to a charity of your choice in Randy’s memory.  Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island, is assisting the family with services.

                Randy was born on April 27, 1949 in Moline, the son of Wilfred “W.J.” and Bettie (Glynn) Eckert.  He worked as a substitute teacher in the Moline/Rock Island School Districts, where he was well liked by all of his students.  Randy was an avid sports fan.

                Randy is survived by his brothers, Tim (Georgerine) Eckert, Milan, Kevin Eckert, Rockford, IL, Brion (Patty) Eckert, Rock Island, and Tracy Eckert, Anna Maria Island, FL; 3 nephews; 3 nieces; and 2 great nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
