Ronald Paul Castor, 79, of Rock Island, passed away Friday, April 18, 2025, surrounded by his family.

Per his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A private graveside service will be held at Edgington Cemetery. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan is assisting Ronnie's family with arrangements.

Ronnie was born May 7, 1945, in Davenport, Iowa, a son of Paul R. and Della May (Hampton) Castor. He graduated from Rockridge High School in 1963. Ronnie married Rita Anderson on August 21, 1993. He was a lifetime farmer. Ronnie loved being outdoors, playing golf and hunting with his grandson. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Those left to cherish Ronnie's memory include his wife of 32 years, Rita; children, Sherry (Steve) Oak, Troy (Deanne) Rice, and Paige (Bryan) Shrake; grandchildren, Jonathon (Samantha) Oak, Stephani (Travis) Norris, Brittany Rice, and Heather (Jason) Hyacinthe; great-grandchildren, Brailey, Kinleigh, Avalee, Khloe, Trevor, Cadance, Easton, and Emberlyn; sister, Donna (Gary) Acker; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Rhonda and Jack Massey; and many nieces and nephews.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, and daughter, Nadine Castor.
