Theodore “Ted” C. Wink, 72, of Lynn Center, passed away on Friday, July 16, 2021 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City. Services for Ted will be 10:30 am, Wednesday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 pm to 7 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Rock Island National Cemetery, where military honors will be conducted by the Milan American Legion Post No. 569. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, Orion.
Ted was born on June 23, 1949 in Monticello, Iowa, a son of Eugene and Hermina (Cordes) Wink. He married Marilu Clement on October 15, 1969 in Ashland, KY. Ted was a correctional officer at the East Moline Correctional Center for 20 years, retiring in 2001. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Orion. He was a private pilot and a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association. Ted was the township supervisor for Lynn Township. He enjoyed flying, woodworking, and attending events for his grandchildren. Ted was a U.S. Air Force Vietnam veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Marilu; children, Janice (Stewart) Klink, Viola, Todd (Missy) Wink, Beardstown, Craig (Jessica) Wink, Georgetown, KY., Tulisa (Jason) Bollinger, Sherrard; 10 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sisters, Mariane First, CA and Sandi VonBehren, MO.
Ted was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Archie Wink and Marvin Wink.
