Tracee A. Hayes

Tracee A. Hayes, 46, of Rock Island, passed away Wednesday September 29, 2021 at home.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 8, 2021 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island, with visitation 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Friday prior to services. Inurnment will be at a later date.

Tracee was born July 1, 1975 in Davenport, Iowa, a daughter of Jerry L. Hayes, Sr. and Patricia A. Thomas Hayes. She graduated from Davenport Central High School.

She had worked for Imagine the Possibilities, New Choices and most recently at the Isle of Capri. Tracee enjoyed spending time with friends and family, helping others and loved music.

Surviving are her son, Ray Slaughter, Jr., Davenport, Iowa; father, Jerry L. Hayes, Sr. (Linda), Rock Island; brothers, Jerry Hayes, Jr., Davenport, Terrence Hayes, Davenport, Mylonyo Cunnginham, Rock Island, and Marreion Oliver, Davenport; sisters, Daneca Howard and Chajuan Jones, both of Davenport; uncles and aunts, Larry Hayes, Moline, Johnny Hayes, Davenport, Billy Hayes and Guy Hayes, both of Rock Island; Garcia Thomas, Davenport, James Thomas, Arizona, Melvin Thomas, Tennessee, Tyrone Thomas, Davenport; aunt, Emma Thomas, Davenport; a host of nieces, nephews, and additional family and friends; and special friend, Maurice "Black" Steward.

Tracee was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Thomas Manuel; maternal and paternal grandparents; aunts and uncles, LaVerne, Pearlie, Toni, Lynda, Tammie, Marvin, and Steve.
