Trudi Irene Downey 2301 1st. E. Milan Illinois left this life to be with her mother. She was born July 21 1959 in Moline Illinois. Child of Jean Baker and Charles Downey.
A memorial gathering will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4800 Kennedy Drive, East Moline, IL 61244 on May 15th at 1pm, with a luncheon following at 2pm.
Trudi grew up in Rock Island most of her life and started showing dogs in 4H at a young age. She volunteered at a local pet salon where she learned the art of grooming and got her start in showing standard poodles.
During her early years she worked at various restaurants where she mastered her cooking skills. She could make anything out of nothing.
She loved children but never had any of her own nor was never married but operated a daycare for a few years.
Trudi was the most kindest person in the world. She was such a selfless person and would give you her last red cent if you needed it. She never asked for nothing in return and always put others ahead of herself. She would always quote her mother "as momma Jean used to say" ...
Trudi leaves behind a son Devon Breeden, a sister Tammy Wood (Don Wood) a brother James Downey (Sandy Downey). Along with extended half brothers, including Ray Neice many nieces and nephews and greats. She is preceded in death by her mother and father. She was taken to soon and will be terribly missed.
