Willa M. Klemmer

Willa M. Klemmer, 75, of Rock Island, passed away Friday, July 2, 2021, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City. Live-streamed services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island, and can be viewed online at https://www.wheelanpressly.com/live-stream. Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family.

Willa was born on June 2, 1946, in Iuka, Mississippi, a daughter of Louis and Mary Louise (Clinton) Dilworth. She married Donald Klemmer and he preceded her in death. Willa was a homemaker and enjoyed fishing, cooking, joking, and spending time with her family.

Those left to cherish Willa’s memory include her children, Jennifer (James “Cool” McKinney) Cannady, Rosanna (Raymond) Wheatfall, Timothy Smith, Wilma Jarrett, Michelle (Gary McCormick) Carpenter, Michael Johnson, Tracy (Vickie Bomar) Johnson, and Donna Klemmer; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; siblings, Jeanette (Stanley Campbell) Moultrie, Mary Louise (Greg Wilson) Dilworth, Paul Andrew (Willie Ann King) Dilworth, and Charlotte Ann (Darryl Dukes) Dilworth; and a host of nieces, nephew, cousins, and extended family.

Willa was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; significant other, Raymond Campbell; parents; grandson, Demetrius Johnson; and siblings, Margaret Morrison, Virginia Rose Campbell, and Louise Dilworth.
