Dear Lori,
I was so sad to read about the death of your mom. It immediately brought back a million memories of our childhood.... the sleepovers, bike rides, and mostly just hanging around your house and talking. Your family was always so welcoming and kind. Ok, well maybe not David, who seemed to delight in disrupting whatever Barbie adventures we were in the middle of (just kidding.)
Anyway, this week you have been on my mind a great deal, reliving those Milan years... A hug to you, my first real, true friend. May peace be with you and your family, and may the great memories of your mom and dad and those childhood years carry you through this difficult time.
