I worked with Carrie for a few months before she retired from working at the library at Augustana College. I will remember her warm smile. She was looking forward to retirement and spending more time with her husband. I am glad they were able to spend time together in their retirement years. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult and sad time.

My sincerest condolences to Carrie's family and closest friends on her passing. May she rest in peace and rise in glory. I was a friend and work colleague of Carrie's through the Augustana College Library, both the old and the new, during my 11 years on the campus, 1981-1992. We were also close neighbors in the 8th Avenue area of Rock Island. Her husband, Martin, and I often played tennis with other friends of his on local courts. God's peace to you all.

Please accept our sincere sympathy on your mom's passing. We knew your mom and dad through St. John's Lutheran Church. Linnea and your mom really connected after Carrie was diagnosed with cancer. As a breast cancer survivor, Linnea shared her experience with Carrie. We were hopeful that Carrie had won her battle but unfortunately, we were wrong. Carrie was such a positive person. She was a delight to be around. She will be fondly remembered. Please know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. Blessings.

I knew Carrie through Rays of Hope, a grief recovery group that used to meet at the Moline library. She had a kind nurturing soul that was a steadying comfort. It helped me when I most needed it. I will always be grateful for all that she shared with me.

Carrie has been such a big part of our lives., Since she married my Uncle Martin. I always had the warm feeling when I heard they were coming to Michigan. Yes, she was so wonderfully nice, was really part of the family. We became good friends over the years. I am so thankful, she was a good listener and offer suggestions when need. I Know we will see each in Eternity some day. I LOVED HER .

I worked with Carolyn at the iWireless Center. I always enjoyed her caring nature and her genuine smile. And I remember what fun our table had playing Trivia at the Christmas Party. There was always a little mischief in her smile -- what fun!
