I only met John personally twice as he interviewed with our company, Nino Properties here in Houston as a potential Realtor. This was after having participated with John at the Strake Jesuit basketball camp for Down Syndrome kids. He was a giver I could tell and I got great joy from him passing along some of my season Rockets tickets to the kids. The world needs more people like John....they are angels sent to help those less fortunate. His passing is a loss to many that will never know how fortunate they could have been to have known him. Very sad. Keep the light shining on the rest of us.

John and I will remember John for his infectious enthusiasm, his energy and, yes, for the many Jordan and Alleman basketball games, especially the second place finish at Assembly Hall. Fun times....
And, remember, "Of course you don't die, nobody dies.
Death doesn't exist.
You only reach a new level of vision, a new realm of consciousness,
a new unknown world.
Henry Miller
May his memory be eternal.

i still remember the 1st Buddy Basketball game that Michael was involved in at Strake. John your passion for the EFL students and the Down Syndrome Association was unbelievable. Seeing Michael run up and down the court and the cheers of the Strake Jesuit Boys Basketball. Team, parents, cheerleaders brought tears of happiness to my eyes. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your love and kindness! I knew each time you went and visited them at DSAH because Brett and I would hear all about it. The excitement in Michaels voice when he talked about you was full of unconditional love. Thank you dear friend for having a kind and loving heart. You will be missed and I'm so glad you were part of our lives even though it was way to short.

My deepest sympathy to Sandy and all of the Lund family. Uncle John (as I knew him from Katie) always had a smile on his face, and it was contagious! You couldn't help but have a great time when you were around him! I have great memories of him meeting Katie and I out and about town, and always looking out for us! This news made me very sad, I will pray for your family. My condolences, Mandi Guyer and family.
