I remember when I was a young child how Marion clung to Harry at reunions. I thought they must be so in love.

Harry & Family,
My sincere sympathy on your loss. May fond memories be with you always. Yours was one of the first families we met when we moved to Rock Island & your welcoming spirit was very much appreciated.

As Rachel Ahmed's parents we are very sorry for your loss. Although we didn't know Mrs. Peterson we heard many wonderful stories about her and we know from all of her family that we have met that she did a great job of raising her children. Our sincerest thoughts are with you.

Marc and I want to express our deepest sympathies upon the passing of Marion Peterson. What a wonderful mother and grandmother she was! I know she and Mr. Peterson had every reason to be proud of the wonderful family they created and nurtured. So much happiness lived in their home.

Marion always made us feel so welcome in her home as we pack of boys took over her basement, playing pool, watching TV, and erecting massive green army men battles. She had so much patience and always made sure we had something to eat. I'm sure she didn't know what to make of our misadventures with a film camera, turning her living room into a set, but her quiet, gentle support made us feel like we weren't crazy for doing it. She was one of those people who undergirded our youthful ambitions, taking joy in the men we were becoming.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Peterson family. And our gratitude too for sharing Marion with us.
