I served with Mark in Vietnam at Bien Hoa AFB back in 1972. Actually I knew him starting from truck driver school at Area 25 in Camp Pendleton in the fall of 1971. We celebrated our birthdays there in October (mine is the 8th) and then again a year later in Vietnam. We had some good times together and some scary ones too during many rocket attacks against Bien Hoa by the North Vietnamese. He had a great sense of humor and he and I spent a lot of time shooting the breeze and pranking each other at our barracks and the MAG-12 motor pool where he was the dispatcher most of the time we were in Vietnam. I recently retired from NC State University and was hoping to catch up with him but I'm afraid I waited a little too long; I missed him by about 2+ years. My condolences to all of his family who I'm sure will greatly miss the company and love of this good and warm hearted man. Semper Fi, buddy!

Please accept our deepest sympathy in Mark's death. We've known the Jasper family for so many years from St Joe. Beth took care of our sons at daycare. I remember all of you being so nice, quiet and just good people. You're all in our thoughts and prayers.

Mrs. Jasper and Famil;y:
I'm Loretta (RIP) and Joe DeWitte's (RIP) youngest son. I think I'm younger than all of you. . I think I rode home from St. Joseph's grade school next to Brian (RIP) quite a bit on the Johanee';s buses. I was a little kid who wanted to sit next to someone more mature. Brian was always nice to me and it didn't seem to matter to him that he was sitting next to somenoe quite youger than him. When my older siblings (Mike, Cheryl, and Bill) were attending St. Joseph's , my mom worked together with Mrs. Jasper on many PTA activities. I also remember Greg many times from St. Joseph's - both at the schjool and as a handymnan for the church in later years. I realize that I only know part of your family, but, i wish to express my condolences to all of you for the loss of your father, Greg, Brian, and Mark. God Bless all of you
