To Matthew Beswick and family - Matthew - I'm not sure you remember me but I worked with Kristin at the AEA many years ago. I bought your mother's dining room set when she moved from Rock Island. I saw your grandmother's obituary in the paper and wanted to let you know how sorry I am to hear of your loss. I'm sure you have many fond memories of her. Rita is truly the end of an era - an era when people made commitments and stayed with those commitments all their lives. I wish I had saved all the wonderful notes we received from Rita over the years. The Beswick family will always hold dear memories for the Fackels. Kelly, Kristi, and Joey had a group text exchange this morning about all their memories of your family. Kelly's daughter, Claire, met Bob at the toll booth when she was 2 years old and has never forgotten him. She's now 21! You all were wonderful friends, helpers, and supporters to all of us. We give thanks for dear Rita's life, along with Bob's. May they rest in peace. The rest of you, take care of each other and your wonderful memories! Love you all!

To the family of Rita Beswick.. I'm sorry for your loss. Loss of a parent is not easy even when you are expecting it. I still have and use some of Rita's hand made dish clothes and a pot holder. She was very talented. I heard wonderful stories about her letter writing and the way she kept up with all the birthdays and anniversaries. Grieve the loss of Rita in ways that suit each of you best. Know that her faith was strong and now she and Bob can get on with the rest of their lives. Special hugs to Ron and my sister Kari. Ruth Ann, its going to be rough for a while. Let the tears flow, Soon, although only Lord knows when, you will be able to remember and embrace your mom's memories with a quiet smile.

I'm in New Mexico so won't be able to attend your mom's funeral. Know that I will be thinking of all of you and praying for comfort and peace. Losing a parent is so hard.
