Lesa Carr Halston, 51, of Denver, Colorado, departed this life on Thursday, June 15, 2017 in Denver, CO. Lesa was born on June 10, 1966 in Rock Island, IL., the daughter of Barbara (Lawrence) & Jimmy Carr. Lesa was baptized in Jesus name at a young age.
She previously worked as a laundry attendance in Scotts Bluff, NE. Her favorite color was lime green. She enjoyed spending most of her time with her grandchildren. Lesa loved the Lord!
Survivors include her HUSBAND: Duane Harlston and her CHILDREN: Jashar Carr, Dav. IA LaRon Carr, Timothan Gwynn & Tiron Gwynn all of Rock Island, Wynter Jones, Scotts Bluff, NE. GRANDCHILDREN: Liberty, JaRaya, Jabarri, Kadence, Anthony (Tony), JaLesa, Tanizjah and Timothan II (Junior), Naryeh, Sophia and Baby TJ. PARENTS: Barbara (Lawrence) Luten and Jimmy Carr. SIBLINGS: Lori (Ricky)Taylor, YeVonne (James) Scott, Jason (Vernice) Phillips & Cle (Libra) Phillips. Lesa has a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Lesa was preceded in death by her brother Kectrum Lavell Carr in infancy. Maternal grandparents Griffin and Lillian (Gholston) Phillips; paternal grandparents Robert & Ruther Carr. Her uncles James, Ernest, Barry and Nathaniel Phillips. Her aunts Lola Mae Phillips and Louise Mayes.

A special thanks to Cle & Libra for the special care they took with Lesa from the beginning of her illness to the end. Thanks for never leaving her side and making sure she was not alone at the end. Words cannot express the gratitude that we(family) feels. Memorials may be made to the family.
